Student Ambassadors

About the Role

Student ambassadors are the backbone of the International Douglas-Young Tournament. They help organise the tournament and work closely with the DYT heads. Student ambassadors are leaders, communicators, and help the DYT heads adapt the tournament to each school. Being a student ambassador is a CAS project and work experience.

Student ambassadors must:

  • Market the competition to their classmates (e.g. putting up posters, giving presentations, sending emails…)
  • Comunicate with a staff member in charge (e.g. setting up meetings, formally introducing the tournament to them…)

Then, student ambassadors will join one or more teams that specialise in different areas.

We recommend this role for all students interested in leadership but we especially recommend it to those interested in business, marketing, communication, and social media management.

DYT Student Ambassadors are also invited to Ikast, Denmark for the second round (dates in March and TBA) to help in tournament management and participate in social activities (where you will meet the DYT heads, your fellow student ambassadors, participants, and other interesting people. Attending the second round is free, however, student ambassadors may expect to pay for their transportation and accommodation for the event.
